WHAT IF THE SMALL THINGS WE TAKE FOR GRANTED WERE, IN FACT, THE MOST IMPORTANT ONES?

In 2023, Ediciones Invasoras published El sonido de los números imaginarios, a book of short poems that highlights those small everyday things we take for granted and which, nevertheless, are fundamental to our lives. In 2025, Cambaleo Teatro brings these texts to the stage to construct a poetic space, a simple “scenic artefact” conceived as a place to recite poetry.

From the word, the songs, the ideas and the breaths, the show transforms the intimate and everyday experience into a universal breath. Because, sometimes, we happen to be dealt a very rare number for the race, a calculation without a solution, the square root of minus one, and there is no choice but to ask questions. The sound of imaginary numbers is born from those questions and from everything that, although small and everyday, gives meaning to our lives.
